MEET THE FOUNDERS
Our Founders’ vision is to create a harmonious relationship where roles and responsibilities of tenants, owners, and the property manager are clearly understood. They believe that open collaboration and communication to address any issues is key to ensure tenants would want to stay longer. Crystal Clear aims to provide tenants the experience and responsibility of being a homeowner with the flexibility of renting, while providing property owners peace of mind that their investment is being properly cared for.
James Masotti
James got his start in real estate as an accidental landlord back in 2010 when his company relocated him to the west coast and he started renting his home in Wilmington. In 2016 James decided to pursue real estate investing more actively and began acquiring additional properties, with Brian, in the City of Wilmington over the next few years. In 2019 James decided to leverage his 10+ years in supply chain and operations management to bring needed technology, automation, and process to property management. Additionally, James was struck by the disconnect in incentives between property management companies and owners and wanted to create a business model where both could benefit from the same things.
In his free time James enjoys running trail ultra marathons and is a United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Bronze Certified Bowling Coach.
Brian Armstrong
Brian’s early exposure to real estate came from accompanying his father on home inspections and participating in the construction of his family home. In 2012, he stumbled into house hacking before he knew the term, and eventually began actively investing in Wilmington, DE in partnership with James in 2016. As a property owner, Brian quickly realized the need for a better management experience that would ensure tenants feel at home and owners have peace of mind.
In his free time, Brian can often be found training for triathlons or chasing after his toddler.
